On a 4.9 engine is it normal to here injector tick from outside of the car?
Mine seem kind loud and this is already the second set of injectors. Im not getting that good of mpgs either. Anyone have any ideas? |

You could always find another 4.9 and listen, but in general, I find injectors are rather loud. If you suspect the injectors are not funtioning properly, there is a tool you can get that rapidly fires the solenoid (Injector) and monitors pressure drop as it does so.

OK ive herd of this tool, and will look in to it. Also something i forgot to
mention, my injectors are wired in batch fire all the time so 4 are going at the same time, im thinking this could make them seem louder. |

Could be... As I said, your best frame of reference is to go listen to another 4.9, that'll tell you if yours are abnormal or normal.
