    Posted: 12 June 2007 at 10:08am

fish n chip run,

Time: 10:00am

Meeting Place: Krispy Kreme Donuts parking lot at Scottsdale Mall - 72nd and Scott Rd (120th St) in Surrey.

Lunch Venue:  Pajo's Fish n Chips on the Steveston Fishing boat Wharf.

We're going to meet at Krispy Kreme at Scottsdale mall at about 10:00am.  Leave at 10:30am.  Drive south on Scott Rd to highway 10 (the route with the fewest traffic lights and pot holes), west on
highway 10 to highway 91.   North along highway 91 over the Alex Fraser Bridge,
then take the Richmond turn onto the Eastwest connector (1/2 KM only), then Northeast on the Westminster highway to River Road and west on River Road
Richmond.  I'll have to drive along there to find a picture taking spot we can stop at.  Then south along #6 rd, West along westminster hwy, south on Highway 99 to Steveston highway, west on Steveston highway to 6th st in Steveston, south on 6th st to the weather station parking lot.

After lunch, we will had back to Steveston highway...actually, I think we might go through Steveston to Railway and North on Railway, then East on Steveston to hwy 99, through the tunnel and then East on River road (delta side) back to highway 91, south to 72nd ave and then back to Krispy Kreme and we're done.
Total drive should be around 3 hours including lunch.

Not only is this a drive along somewhat twisty roads, it's also a chance to show off our cars to the unsuspecting public .

Since members of the Langley Area Most British (LAMB) car club came out see us at the PPPCC show n shine, I've taken to opportunity to invite them along with us.  Nothing goes together like Fish n Chips and the British!

If I can get a count of who's coming, we can warn Pajo's so they will be prepared and maybe offer us a group rate.

I also forgot to mention this is weather permitting.   Pajo's only opens on dry days.

You would be surprised to know that we actually do get more than 19 days dry days a year.   Winter is hit n miss.  They only open on dry days that are kind of warm.  Check out their website:

http://www.pajos.com/home.shtml

Also, if June 30 happens to be your birthday, you should download the coupon.  Lunch is on them.

Okay....so how many are coming?   I need at least 12 people for the group rate and should book early.

The fish n chip run is still a "go".

Except for one minor change....I'm changing the route just a wee bit. We're going to go off the Alex Fraser bridge to Annacis Island and take a turn (or two?) around the traffic circle : ) just before the swing bridge.

We'll meet at 10:00 at Krispy kreme at Scottsdale Mall (72nd and Scott Road in Surrey/N. Delta).   We leave at 10:30 sharp.  David and Lisa have something to go to right afterwards.

So...we still on it seems?.  I may have a new member join us on the drive if Kerstin has to work at Canuck Place.  His name is Garth and he has a beautiful 87 Fastback with only 70,000km on it...and we are talking MINT shape.

On Sunday David and I will be helping him change his water pump, I just picked it up for him today, will meet him at his place and drive to David's...good thing he's in Mary Hill Bypass which is not too far from David's...great guy and family

Cheers, Brian

Hey, thanks for coming out to this.   I had a great time.  Nice relaxing drive, police escort, got to watch the swing bridge in action, and had lunch.

I'll try and post a few pix later.

Ken
