Thought I should start a note of thanks to the Pacific Performance Pontiac Car Club for staging yet another great show n shine. The weather was great this year and a great turn-out.

I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with other Pontiac enthusiasts and the general public about cars and Fieros in particular.

Thanks for all the hard work in setting up such an event.

I too would like to add heartfelt thanks to the PPPCC for putting on a great Show and Shine and to the members of our club who co-ordinated with them. The people who came by to see the cars and chat (and there sure were a lot of them!) seemed to be very interested in our Fieros and asked some very good questions (some of which I couldn't answer).

Congratulations to all of the members who showed some excellent cars and super workmanship, especially Clint whose car was beyond excellent and who really deserved to beat me out of first place in class J.  His dog was sort of interesting as well!!!

Did anyone actually have any concerns? I thought the show was impeccable. Do the same thing next year, in the exact same way.

I believe the show next year will take place at Cascades Casino in Langley. It should be a nicer venue as it is part of a hotel and convention centre in a very high traffic area. I look forward to see how it turns out.

This one went off very well. Except maybe I thought the voting was too complicated, especially with some classes not having enough cars to fill the ballot.

Yes, actually that is my one gripe was the classes in general. Some of the newer cars (Grand Am, G6, Sunfire and Solstice) didn't fall in to any class, which meant they either had to win best of show (No easy feat) or not win at all. On the exact other side of the issue, Acadians had three classes all to themselves (Two different Acadian generations, and a Canadian car class, of which there is only Acadians anyways). Then of course, while not the shows fault, there was a few classes that had only one or two cars (Fourth-gen Trans Am, GMC Truck, etc...) which hopefully will get a few new entries next year (I, for one, intend to take my purple off-roader Sierra next year).

Despite those minor gripes though, I still thought it was a fantastic event, and I can't wait for next year.
