1st gen headlight setup on my 85GT, the passenger side motor is doing some funny stuff, the headlight goes up and down fine but once it gets to the top or bottom the motor keeps on whirling. Limit switch problem? Where can I find the limit switch? Is it inside the motor casing?

Actually its the torque gear that activates the limit switch. If your motor stopped however then became scorching hot and had a dead battery the next day, it would be the limit switch. In either case, yes both parts are inside the motor. In most cases you can take it apart, flip the torque gear over and put it back in. The headlight only uses 1/2 the gear during normal operation. |
