She doesn't get why I'm so charged up.
I bought a Zeitronix wideband...installed it and I'm up and running. And what a surprise!
I have a 3.4 with a big cam, ported intake and exhaust, with adjustable fuel pressure reg cranked up a bit (55 psi i think).
There is no way I thought I was rich...but...when I hit the enrich mode I stay at a pretty constant 11:1 all the way up the range....way too much fuel. Everything I've read says about 12.5 is good.
It also confirmed the ecm is capable of regulating around stoich when not in power enrich through the entire rpm range. Very good!
The next step is to get winaldl running in parallel and tune the fuel pressure reg first, then the bin after if necessary.
I can't say enough about the Zeitronix...it has a build in datalogger which is soooo easy to hook up...think car stereo installation. It'll track map, tps, rpm (Direct hook up!), egt with a thermocouple, plus a user 0-5 volt input for whatever elso you want. It outputs a simulated narrow band so you don't have to weld in another bung, just strand the existing wiring and wire the output into the ECM. I'm sounding like a commercial, but the device is as advertised...I find not many are these days.
And no scary comments everywhere on the web like the Innovate LC1, LM1,2 etc. And the cost is way less, and no secondary modules for datalogging...anyway...you get the idea.

Damn straight! I bought the Zeitronix back in ('05?) with the display, but not the EGT option and haven't been able to say enough good about it.
The ONLY thing I didn't/don't like was the phone cord connectors (possibly prone to failure, but I guess they're easy to replace), and I have had a failure or two on the edge connector they use. Just a couple pins fell out and wouldn't lock in.
But yeah, the data logging feature is awesome for tuning (and I'm sure the software has improved since I bought mine!).
As for your ratio.... 11:1 is good under WOT with boost. Might be too much for NA as you say.
I had used both the wideband output feeding directly to Megasquirt (way cool!) and the narrow band for when I switched to the GM ECM. Yet another cool ability.

Maybe because yesterday was February 14th, Valentine's Day.
Roses and chocolate might've got her excited.

Chay, is this what you got? What did it cost?

That's the one I got... I also got the display head with it....

Not totally required, but is nice to have (and can be added later as well).

Yeah, that's it. It was...hmmm. I burnt the invoice before the wife found it.
$380 CDN to the door rings a bell. I bought it from the 'mustang shop' website...they are a cdn distributor so no cross border hassles and quick shipping (3 days).
You don't need the display...you need a laptop to log data anyway, which i think you want to do to set up things, and the software has an analog guage page which is quite good. If you want to ditch the laptop then you need the display. I was going to make one myself but the non linearity in the wideband output was a hassle to make work. You can get a linear wideband output, but then you loose the simulated narrowband output, so no dice for me.
Also, with the dollar like it is, it was a better deal than importing it myself.
Oh, yeah: Roses are for suckers (Sorry if you just bought some). Chocolate....for sure. Plus the card and the ridiculous (As in I look ridiculous carrying it) "LOVE" gift bag. Crazy what your local supermarket has in it these days.
At least I got to skip the 'feminine products', and 'family planning' isles this time!

Oh yeah, one more thing...
They want to sell you their "boost" sensor for another $100, but if you're NA you can tap into the existing MAP signal. Then, you just have to change the scaling. It will give you a good idea where you're at without the extra expense and wiring.
I suppose if you're using boost you can get a 2 bar map and apply the same thinking...
Also, I think 11:1 is still to low for boost. I'd rather use water injection than dumping gas, but until I've done it I'm just shooting you know what. That's my theory anyway.

Nah, my girlfriend knows me better than that (and for some reason she still tolerates me).
Thanks for the info on the Zeitronix unit.
