           Feel free to bring oil, filters and grease guns.   However you MUST REMOVE YOUR USED OIL and clean up any spills.       

My recommended stuff, is to lube all your ball joints, check, top or change any fluids.   Check and repair any brake or clutch issues.   I'll have my clutch bleeding attachment for anyone that wants to flush there clutch system out.  

I have about 4 sets of jack stands and 2 floor jacks that can be moved around.

I've also got air tools, (1/2" drive impact guns, air ratchets, assorted air cutting tools and air hammers/chisels.)

There is dry paved parking for 4 cars, with grassy parking for people that don't need to jack up.   There is always a few extra tech guys here to explain things to people that are un-familiar with stuff.  

The Club scanner will be available for anyone that wants to use it and if you need help interpreting the results I am sure there will be a few people with that knowledge handy.

  I'll have my shop vac and extension cords for those wishing to do some cleaning, a hose and bucket, and assorted stuff.    Washing will be done beside the house rather than in the driveway to keep the repair area dry for those on the ground under their cars.    Power will be here for those needing to run Power waxing/buffing machines.   

                              Anothe r idea, Please post up what you plan to do to your car, and if you are going to need help with it.   There could be a number of other people interested in seeing your repair.   The more people we have the better.  This can be one hell of a fun day. 

             Even if you don't have "work" to do on your car, it's a great time to simply come over and either learn about a specific repair, or help the guys that don't know how to do something that you do.

 Side note, if you are looking for a part for your car, post up what you are looking for.   Chances are someone has what you need.  Might even be a good idea to post up what you are looking to spend.    Its often quite hard to decide on a price for a part from a friend.   That's why I always preface my parts prices with "This is what it is worth to me, if it's too much for you, no problem no offence"    

FOOD

      We have tried in the past to do a Pizza order or McDonald's run in the past and it just didn't work, so  we will have a BBQ setup.  If you want to bring something to grill up.  I think we still have some paper plates and forks I think left over from last Arlington.   If people want to organize bringing over extra fixings please speak up.    There is also a Quizno's and a Subway 3 mins from here.   For those coffee addicts, there is a Planet Java and a Starbucks in the same complexes.   Oh and a Gelato place roughly 15 seconds drive, (or 5 mins walking)  from our house.  If I pin the throttle pulling out of my side street, I am at the Gelato place, before I top 2nd gear.

Hi guys,

Well I am geting a heads up display installed in my car and it was promised to be ready today (Friday).  Well now apparently it isn't so I won't be bringing it to the tech session.  I do plan to drop by at some time to socialize and soak up some ambience and solvent fumes.

    Well from the list chatter there will be a lot of door pins going on.  Me, I am going to take a break from working on the V8 and do some stuff to the 88GT.  I have been meaning to change out the dist shaft and Throttle body for months so that will be my job for the morning, then in the Afternoon I'll be doing some tinkering on the V8 in between helping a few people with things.   

       So if you just happen to know how to Work on Fiero's and can lend a hand, I sure any gear head can be of use.   I know a little about everything, but I can't be there to help everyone.  So the more tech and or gear heads that can be here will be the better.    I was able to find a loaner compressor for the weekend.  (my compressor died this week)  Its a little slow, but using 3 res tanks it can keep up with the average use of the impact guns.

Quite awhile ago I bought some excellent quality Delco PF52C oil filters. I forget what I paid for them, but they weren't cheap. I can sell a couple of them at the tech session Saturday if anyone needs one for a filter change. They're individually sealed in plastic.

Anyone know what the going price is for these Delco filters? Isn't a "cheap" oil filter about $10 now?

not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I wanted to thank the people that I met there. today. You were all very patient about me talking about my 2.5 basket case . I met david and some others, I was the guy in the blue Canada shirt and the helicopter baseball cap.

Anyway thanks for your help and letting me hang around asking a lot of dumb questions.

It was a good day yesterday. After socializing most of the day with old and new club members, I finally got around to replacing the pins and bushings in my driver's side door hinges. Thanks to Tristan (Romeo) for patiently holding the door in place while I fiddled around lining things up to put it all back together.

I realized when I got home that I should've had a cap on during my day in the sun which had started (at Dave's place) at 11 AM. My forehead and temples were scorched and glowing red by the time I got home around 7:30 PM. I felt the energy being sucked right out of me in the evening and I was in bed by 10:30 PM. That's got to be the earliest I've gone to bed on a Saturday night for about 40 years!

And of course, a big thank-you to Dave and Lisa for letting all us club members and our cars hang out at their place.

                It was great having everyone over, we are going to have to find a larger location to work though, LOL, it got pretty cramped here.  I'd also like to say Thank You to Patric for taking over the information area for a bit, so I was able to run away and work on my personal car for a bit.  Changed out the Dist Shaft, Ignition Module, Pickup coil, throttle body and IAC.  I won't know for sure if all that fixed my hot shutdown or not until I have driven it for a while.  I think a lot of people got discouraged by the heat yesterday and did not really attempt any major work.   I myself have a sunburn almost as bad as the 1st Arlington show.

         All in all it was a great day, got to meet several new people, helped a few people out, got my car fixed up a bit, and even near the end got a chance to sit in the shade and talk cars.

             Ya the heat was pretty crazy, I think there are more than a few people with full on heat stroke.      When Romeo gets his car here, I will probably post up the info and people can come over in the evening to chat and check out how you can do a clutch job in a driveway on the ground without using anything but hand tools and a floor jack.

My experience with cell phone images is limited, mostly because they suck , but for USB accessability the images need to be stored in the phone on a memory card as opposed to the cell phone's internal memory (that's how it works with my phone anyway) and then the images can be accessed over USB from a computer just like images from any other storage device. (If the images are stored on the phone's internal memory, then the images are not accessible over USB. Again, that's how my phone works. I don't know if they all operate in this manner.)

Copy from the phone's memory card while in Explorer and then Paste somewhere on your computer's hard drive.
