Don't forget - this Saturday, October 3rd is the day for our annual visit to Blair and Angela’s http://www.euphoriastore.ca/ - Euphoria Chocolates in Fort Langley, to be followed by a club run along River Road. (Route to be discussed.)
Blair and Angela are great hosts, http://www.westcoastfieros.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=113&PN=1 - and Blair knows a thing or two about Fieros (to say the least). If you've got any burning questions about engine swaps etc, here's your opportunity to ask the master.
This is a daytime event, so those of you who are leery of checking out new locations in the dark need not have any fear. We plan to meet at Euphoria at 1:00 PM.
For anyone who hasn’t been to Euphoria Chocolates, it’s kind of a funky place (in a good sense). As we all know, women LOVE chocolate. It does something special to them, something about releasing endorphins. So guys, get lucky on Saturday and bring your "significant others".
And for you guys who are single, here’s a tip for you... There’s no better place to hit on chicks than a chocolate shop. I’m not kidding, 90% of their business is women! So get a fancy coffee while you’re there, grab a stool, and try out your pickup lines that never work for you at the bar.
This should be fun. Might be our last chance to enjoy our cars this year before the weather gets real ugly.
Coffee and chocolates... and Fieros... great combination. Let’s do it!

Firstly let me say "Thank You" to Patrick for taking the lead on this.
As Pat mentioned people are {no longer!} welcome to stop by here {this time around} and gather for a mass group run to the shop in Fort Langley. If are plans are to be there for 1pm, the Vancouver guys should be here by 12:00 and be on the road by 12:30. So anyone coming from my area. (16908 104th Ave Surrey B.C. less than 2mins from HWY 1 if you drive like I do) I'd say you can start showing up here as early as 11am. Then we can hang out and do the normal chat until 12:30 when we get on the road.
Reminder if you have a GMRS radio. (FRS that goes to 20) We will be on CH#20 sub 00 for the run. The run will be fun for both Spirited drivers and people that wish to take in the Scenery. With plenty of spots for the faster guys to slow down, let the cars cool and get ready to go again. Especially when we make the right turn off of River Road we will make sure to re-group.

No problem, Dave. Between your knee and your nose, you've got your hands full. [EDIT] I just realized if my previous comment was taken literally it's kind of naughty.
Did you wish to post some kind of a map of our route once we leave Euphoria? We sort of discussed a route at the club meeting, but it got a little confusing (for me anyway) without it actually being on "paper".

winter, I'll be in the ss10.

Sorry guys, (laughing as I say this but) I may have contracted something that would possibly be infectious to anyone around me, as of now my doc has me on Antivirals (Tamiflu) and I am quarantined from everyone even and especially Lisa her being pregnant and all.
The doc said to be on the safe side, 72hrs from my first dose I should not go out and 5 days before I resume normal stuff.
So being as the last thing I want to do is infect the entire club or even worse for the women, the entire chocolate shop, I am going to stick this one out at home.
This means, no club run for me and no meeting at my house. I hear there are other people that are still planning to go, so don’t stay home just because I am not going to be around. This is a great run and being local, it’s not a great expense to take a quick cruise out to Fort Langley and enjoy time with friends in the sun and have some quality time behind the wheel of your toy.
So please do go and have a blast, I’d love to see the pics and videos of the day, I am sure you will all have a blast.
David

That would be three Fieros.
Well, keep in mind that there was nothing mentioned about having to post in this thread if anyone was interested in participating. So I guess we'll just have to see who turns up at Euphoria around 1 PM.
Sunshine is still forecast for Saturday, so I'm looking forward to blowing some carbon out of the engine.

Oh I hope someone got Video.... Please tell me someone had a car mount and got video. I so badly wanted to go....... However I did not even gain consciousness until 2pm. Damn I hate being sick, and even if I was feeling up to it, I would not want to risk getting anyone else sick.

Sorry, no video. I really do need to get some kind of mount for the camcorder inside the car 'cause I can't drive and hold a camcorder at the same time.
Yes, it was great watching John's car (being driven by Blair!) rip through the twisties swirling leaves from the road all over the place. I did my best to disrupt a few leaves myself.

I was following John out on the freeway to Fort Langley, and I noticed a big piece of paper fly up in front of John's car. However, I didn't notice it escape after he passed by. I suspected it was caught up somewhere. Sure enough, when we parked at Euphoria we saw this new addition to John's front end...
John was very pleased when he pulled the paper out of his radiator because he had not seen this flyer before. Not sure what he'll be doing with the piece of shingle he also found lodged in there!
Aren't we a fine looking bunch? (Pretend I'm sitting there. John's in my seat keeping it warm while I was taking the shot.)
Sandy, Graeme, John, redwilley.
And apparently these are the only running insured Fieros in the club...
As mentioned earlier, Blair drove John's car on the run, I was in the middle, and redwilley brought up the rear. It was a blast. Blair knows the road and he was tearing around corners and flying down the straightaways. I had my foot out the door helping to push my stock 2.8 to keep up with John's supercharged 3800.
Ask John what happened though the first time Blair passed a line of cars! John has a few more grey hairs now!
John was taking pictures as well... stay tuned.
