I guess it's possible that nobody checks out YouTube, but...

Have you seen my channel?

Check it out and make sure you subscribe!
(the CNC series is the one that will probably be of interest - watch them in numerical order to have it make the most sense)

Did I ever tell you that CNC is part of what I do for a living?  What are you planning to make with that thing?

Depends where I stop.  But it's a lot like building a car up.  There just really is no end.

I'd take a stab in the dark and say it'll be a bit over a grand with the bulk of what I've got.  That of course says nothing of what my time is worth for the probably 80hrs I've spent on it (so far!).

Wow. That's like $1080 in total.   :)

I was toying with building a rep-rap. Together, there's nothing we couldn't build. And if I do ever build it, I can use it to build parts for other people to build them. It's not 100%, but it's cool that you can build a self-replicating machine. Kinda creepy.

Keep up the good work, Craker. I wanna see the finished beast.

Forgot to make comment on that...

There's a device out now called "rapman".  Same concept as the open source reprap, but it's a kit form thing.  Not sure how 'complete' it is (like, how much you have to supply) - but it would probably be easier than starting from absolutely nothing.

It was a small feature in this months "digital machinist" magazine.

Well - if you missed my FB posting....

Here's the first sample I cranked out last night.

I just had an old CD case sitting near me - so it became victim #1.
I'm zoomed right in on this - it's actually only 5mm high.

And the piece was only held down by some electrical tape, so it shifted a tiny bit (hence why some of the lines aren't dead straight).
