Just wondering, i have the muncie 4 speed with the stock
v6, and how strong are these transmissions generally, and are they any good for drag racing or road racing? |

With a V6 or a mild V8 assuming the trans is in fair shape
to begin with, they are almost indestructible. Several people had made 11 second drag racing passes with 400+hp and 500lbs of torque even some nitrous fed V8's. It is known to be the strongest Fiero Transaxle out there. ------------- Capt Fiero 88 Fiero GT 5spd V6 Eight Fifty Seven GT V8 5spd. |

just watch how you launch you could still end
up cracking a case, ask the capt. You will want a little tire spin off the line, if you hook right up i have seen the cases split |

The split cases were all the early cases from 84, he has an
86GT with the later re-enforced case, so he should be fine, thats the same tranny I ran the nitrous passes through wtih my old V6. ------------- Capt Fiero 88 Fiero GT 5spd V6 Eight Fifty Seven GT V8 5spd. |
