Im new to this forum and registered to get some help with
my 4.9 swap. I have an '86 gt with an '88 cradle and a '91 Seville 4.9. I have it all put together except some bits
here and there and its these bits that are holding it up. I
cant seem to figure out the wiring for the oil pressure
switch, and the fuel pump relay, and maybe so other things
but i think i can get them. So if anyone knows how to wire
these components please help. Thanks, and i look forward to
being a part of this site.

Send a PM to: Capt Fiero on this site, he has already done the swap, he'll be your best resource, along with the good Doctor here.

Best of luck!

I had the Dr do the initial wiring on my 4.9 for me, as a personal flaw, I have a hell of a time reading wiring diagrams.  I can usually trouble shoot a problem, but not that great at setting it up initially.

Orange appears to be in the US.  Didn't want him to have to use translator software.

Actully should have worded it diffrently, as my personal flaw, (as in something I can't do) I can't read wiring diagrams well enough to do the job correctly.  However ya Favour works there too.

Okay, now you've got to tell us the history behind that.

Well the previous owner, as im only the second, was in the Canadian military but stationed in Colorado Springs, and he
had the sticker on and Canada is actually a country i
wouldn't mind living in so I kept it. The car was imported
form Canada too, its got all the different gages in Km/h
and Celsius, and i dont even know what the volts are in.

Oh!  You got the car with Metric Volts if it's from Canada.

You take the voltage, times it by 3, subtract the metric voltage, divide by 2.  That'll give it to you in Imperial.

Got it running! Im still way confused by the fuel pump and
oil pressure switch, so i just bypassed it and wired up the
fuel pump independently. Ill have to figure something out.
And are you guys usually this mean to newbies? Haha Just
kidding.
