I'm new to this whole Fiero thing, I'm working on a 86 GT with a v6 SC 3.8 series 1 motor in it. The swap has only gotten to the stages to were the motor is in the car, on mounts I never made. I have a lot of parts for the motor, and still have all the stock V6 parts.

What I'm lookin for is a helping hand in someone coming to my shop, explaining everything to me, what needs to be done, what I need and things that are wrong.

I don't really know anything about these cars, but I have done many swaps in trucks, and honda cars, including converting to fuel injection in my truck, and turbo'in my daily driven CRX 100% properly, myself.

I'm no a idiot and I don't wana waste anyone's time, I would just asking for some help.

Welcome, Jarrat.
I'm not an expert at the engine swap thing, in fact, my car is purely stock the way I bought it back in 1985.  However, if you need info on certain areas, I do have a shop manual for the 1985 model which I can send pages you need.

I'm sure other's from the club will be more than happy to help as many have done engine swaps.

Good luck on your car.

Ken.

I don't know much about the 3800 swaps as I am a V8 guy, however I do know my way around Fiero's.  Where abouts are you located.

And does this happen to be an '86 Black fastback?

Possibly bought from a guy named Paul?

Yes, your right about the Paul thing..   and the car is located in Langley. I'm free this entire weekend, so if anyone has some free time, and would like to drink some free beers/pop/ect.. and talk about these cars, and what they know..  and get me familiar with them and the Bonneville which is what the motor came out of, it would be greatly appreciated..

Here's my email - mailto:Jarrat@shaw.ca - Jarrat@shaw.ca

Oh yeah...  Has anyone in this club done this swap?

and..  does anyone know a guy in Abbotsford, he has two Fieros out front of his house, a red and black (i think) and lives on Old Yale near the Judo center..  I'm like a 2 min walk from his house...

I think you'll find every Fiero person in about a 1000 mile radius is going to be "busy" this weekend!

Search "Arlington".

There is a club meeting the weekend after followed by the all Pontiac Show n Shine.   Hope to see you at the meeting?

Your 85 Samurai is welcome...I usually bring my MINI and nobody complains.  However, I will be bringin my Fiero to the meeting this month  in preparation for the show n shine.
