Hm, I like the look of the silver racing car (About the second one in). For one thing, the functional upper scoops are intriguing, would be fun to run the take from either end of them. Ram air is pretty damn awesome.

Let me know if you DO intend to do ram air. I've been studying extensively on aerodynamics and would love to help out in any way possible.

It turns out it is about 4" lower in back and about 3 inches in front.

I need help figuring out what kinds of wheels and tires I can use on it.  I love the Johnny style the most, but as the Mexican worker said this morning when I pulled into a parking spot "Oh that's like one of those old school exotics." lol  so maybe the Clynt style wheels and tires might be more appropriate...  I don't know...  I'm wondering if maybe this particular car will even need to be a widebody...

Good luck with both.

I bought body panels for the back widebody and the quarter panels to copy the Johnny style...  for somebody who complained about people copying me, I sure am copying these two guys a bunch...

I have a whole stack of papers on turbulence, pressure, laminer flow, venturi effect, fluid dynamics and damn near everything else you could ever want to know about how air moves. I will scan them tomorrow and PM you them.

Venturi effect will only come into play when the intake changes diametre, in this manner:

             \                    /

             /                    \

The skinny part will cause air to move faster and lower it's pressure, both of which will help you add hydrogen into the mix (Think of how a carburator works). Doing this after the ram air section of the intake would provide the best results.

You appear to have a history of posting and then deleting posts in this manner.

For anyone who's curious what I'm talking about, click http://www.fierosearch.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?forum=-1&where=SUB&SearchQuery=fencerenu&Action=DoSearch - Here  to see how fencerenu has made a mess of the forums at Pennock's as well.

I don't know what your problem is, but nobody appreciates threads being trashed like this.

[EDIT] Lots has transpired since I originally posted this, but I'm going to leave it as is as I don't believe in deleting posts normally.

I suspect our friend fencerenu has some psychological problems he must be working through.

He did seem a little odd to say the least.

Hopefully Dave can simply remove all this.

I was really going to hold off on this, but....

All in favour of my hitting the 'user delete' button, raise a hand.

Or can someone see the err' in their ways, and let me delete a whack of posts so they can start over?

I for one am tired of all this.

It's hard to tell on pics, is the windshield laid back or is it in stock position ?
What door windows are you going to use, since they have to be custom fit to your chop ?
Let us know

Could always take it to a professional glass shop and get them to form another set that was slanted back.

The windshield is definitely not in its stock position... It's laid back.

*Update - I've been busy over the last few days, so I haven't even been able to lurk on the sites.

I forgot how horrible bondo fumes are.  What makes it even better is when you don't get the mix hard enough and it takes forever to cure.  It'll fill up your warehouse and your office and your neighbors' warehouses and offices...  Horrible...

Okay and I'm a chemical guy.  I got to looking at this dynalight bondo stuff that sells for a slight premium over regular bondo.  The main ingredient is calcium carbonate aka marble as in 'marble floors.'  It's a big time filler used in paints and stains, etc.  And the other main ingredient in bondo stuff is polyester resin - the same stuff that comprises Fiberglass Resin.  So they are basically mixing super cheap marble dust with fiberglass resin to make bondo.  That 'waters it down' and then makes it easier to sand and so forth.  Marble (calcium carbonate) is actually a metal believe it or not...

Okay... So the windshield was WARPED into place during the chop.  It was awesome for a little bit - several days.  lol now it's cracked and is popping out in the upper corner of the driver's side.

The door window slants have now been taken off, because they were made of mesh and fiberglass and resin and I want to remake them not using the metal mesh.

Pretty much every hot chick in the USA is awaiting the completion of this ride, but I've decided to really slow down and take my time instead of trying to set proverbial land speed records...

I appreciate the support and advice and would appreciate learning some more about the windshield process.  Because I'm gonna have to get a new windshield when I'm ready for it...
