The Kentucky Fried Challenge will be the first of a 3 event series, The West Coast Autocross Championship . The details of the series (trophies, prizes, etc) will be announced at the event. Colonel himself has promised to show up; so bring out your cars, skillz, and friends... and have a good time.

BY SIGNING UP YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ALL CONDITIONS OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL REGULATIONS.  Any violations of these regulations will result in an immediate end to your day - please read BEFORE signing up.

Please note that this event is capped at 60 people plus exec team members.  Pre-registration via Karelo is mandatory.  As outlined in the supplemental regulations, there will be absolutely no refunds or driver substitutions - if you are not sure you can attend, please do not pre-register.

There is absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE for any burnouts, reckless driving, or loud stereos on Ford Road at any time. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be immediately, and permanently, banned from all 3 local autocross clubs without warning. Registration check-in closes at 8:45am sharp.

Please ensure you bring your vehicle to a complete stop and look both directions at the break in the fence in the driveway, to ensure no planes are approaching.

Good luck from all of us in your UBCSCC Executive Team.

Still undecided on this one. But chances are, I will be there.

I'm not sure yet that I'll be able to make it to this one, but I just registered for the PCA one on the 28th.

If they did, they wouldn't be able to report quite yet.

I was there. I had spotted a red notchback heading down Harris road and suspected Colby would've been in attendance, but I was slightly depressed to see I was left alone to hold up the mid-engined Pontiac. I was also annoyed that I had to go fab up a battery hold-down using whatever I could find at Lordco, which meant I didn't get to do my walkaround too. This meant my first run I was effectively blind.

Beyond those two annoyances, it was a good day though. Great course, lots of sun, and it was even fun during the off-race hours thanks to Steph wandering around and chatting to everyone. Managed to get five official runs in, with two fun runs in. I have pictures but honestly, I just can't be bothered to resize them all, I will have them at the next autocross/Fiero event.

I wanted to go but had to be somewhere in the afternoon. Good to see that you went.

Did you participate in the challenge? How did they do it?

I see they have the results up now:
http://www.ubcscc.com/events/2011/may29/T.TXT" class="postlink - Top Times
http://www.ubcscc.com/events/2011/may29/I.TXT" class="postlink - Indexed Times
http://www.ubcscc.com/events/2011/may29/R.TXT" class="postlink - Complete Results

Regarding your class (since I notice you're listed as STP)... I think you're most likely in STR depending on how much has changed. You may want to consult the http://www.scca.org/documents/2011%20Tech/2011%20SCCA%20Solo%20Rules.pdf - rulebook yourself to be sure. This will affect your indexed time (which in theory is to help compare times between differently prepared times).

http://www.irfanview.ca/ - Irfanview does bulk resizing/processing. And the price is right - Free!

I didn't know my class. I told them about my car, it's lateral G and power figures, and it's mods since then, they put me in that class.

And alright Patty, I'll do that in a bit.

Oh, ok Colby, I see what you meant. Might be a bit easier to contend when I'm not up against a 6.3L powered AMG SL63.
