So I get the car running real well, timing is spot on,
It's had a tune up (cap and rotor, wires, plugs, air
filter, oil filter, oil (tranny and engine) coolant
flush) and today I get to take it for a drive and it's
smooth and quite the rumbly beast. I get it on the hoist
to do an alignment and there's coolant dripping. I
thought no problem because I had left the rad cap off
when I pulled the thermostat and filled the system with
coolant. Upon closer inspection the PO had jacked up on
the rad support and bent the rad support and the rad. I'm
assuming one of the tubes has been pulled out slightly
and that's causing the leak. I'm HOPING that with some
radiator sealant I'll be able to patch that up. But
that's temporary. Anyone on (or near enough) Vancouver
Island with a spare rad and rad support?

Oh shoot. I don't, but a rad wasn't too expensive from NAPA last time I bought one. As for the rad support, grab a sledgehammer and smack it back in to shape, if possible. If not, send me a message and I'll quickly weld up a bracket to replace it.

Best of luck, brother.

What's not too expensive Romeo? Over 100 beans?

I think it was $90 and tax, if I recall. Don't quote me on that though, it was a few years back.

Hmm. Few years back means more like 180 plus tax now..
I'll DEF be checking it out though. Thanks again Romeo!
I'm going to the Wings and Wheels show put on by the
Nanaimo Flying Club tomorrow. Event page:

I think Reaper will be the only Fiero showing up. I'll
probably throw a for sale sign in it and see what kind of
interest it generates. I don't want to sell it after all
the blood and sweat I've put into it but for the right
price I can't say no. So yeah. I dumped that sealant
(Gunk) into the radiator so hopefully that does the trick
or else I'm going to have to watch the coolant.

Last I checked new rads were $199 and tax.  Rad supports are NLA you can't buy them new anyplace.

However, how often do you make it to the mainland.

I have at least 2 rad supports in storage and 1/2 dozen rads.

I could go 25 bucks on the rad support and $60 on the rad.

I don't want to ship as I would like you to come in person and look at the parts yourself and decide which ones you want.  We would also have to do a quick Garden Hose pressure test to make sure the rad is tight and has no leaks before I would even take your money.

I wish I could be cheaper but it costs me money to store these parts at the locker, so I have to make at least a break even point each month and the last few months we have not even been close.
