I need a negative battery cable and all the FS has is this one, is this correct?...they have the positive ones available:

85-88 V6 BATTERY GROUND CABLE
Replace the melted or deteriorated battery cables on your Fiero. These new cables will keep your car starting and running properly. NOTE: 23 inches in length. Pick up part #51674 to make changing your battery cable easier.
Part # 63646 Price: $13.95

That looks like a generic Pico cable - you can get them at Lordco.

Heavier the better (gauge wise).

Just get the correct length (few inches longer would be OK), with the right ends (one side mount, one ring end), and a pigtail. The one shown would have to have the pigtail modified anyhow...

What would be the length for the negative, and would this be the same for the positive?.  What is the suggested guage also...thank John

Just measure your old one - I've never made note of it, sorry.

The Positive one is much longer as it has to drop down to the starter.

Thought about doing the front mount relocate route if you're going to replace all the cables anyhow?

Never knew of another option...let's chat as this can be a winter project when the car is off the road:)

Ya know - I've got two scrap (complete) engines here - they would probably have a complete set between them you could measure - unless you do opt for the front relocate.

Oh yeah, the rear clip - yeah - still have it (them).

On that note (everyone!).

I'm cleaning up.  Really this time!
What I'm going to do is start loading up my truck.
I'll post what's gone in it.
If anyone wants anything, you have ~24hrs to take it, or it is GONE.  No holds, etc etc.
Then I'll load up the next load, and repeat...

I'll start a new "whats in the truck today" thread.
