UBCSCC is doing the slush series right now, but I don't think anyone here is going to those this season.

The other clubs won't start putting on events until April at the earliest.

Ken, are you thinking of coming out and participating?

Maybe I'm easily amused, but the half dozen or so times that I autocross every season are right up there with the highlights of my year. Seriously, I really enjoy it.

Although those of us who have been going out are very competitive and want to try and better each other's times, we're also very supportive of each other as we feel it's Fieros (and one fine 914/6) against the world!

What greater feeling can there be than to be driving a 25 year old "commuter" car and beating modern cars with two or three times the horsepower! It's a lot of fun to be able to put the pedal to the metal and throw yourself into one turn after another.

After driving the Mighty Duke the last four years at autocross, I'll be driving the '88 Formula I now have. It's not a given that I'll necessarily be faster though, as the underpowered duke handled so well after tweaking its suspension. If the Formula (with 50% more power) can be made to handle like the duke, I'll be very happy... and that's what going to the track allows you to do. It allows you to make changes to your car and to then see what the results are in a safe environment.

I think a lot more Fiero owners would have a blast if they came out and tried autocross at least once. They might discover that they can't wait until the next event!

That'll be great! You need to get out on the track and shake off some rust.

That was great, Ken!  I'd sure like to try a track like that one!

Within that article is a link to the following article. It's educational as well.
