It would really be nice to see this car on the road.
P.S. if you do yank the motor for a bigger motor, can I buy it back for the price I sold it to you :)

Hi Chris, can you take a pic of your dashboard, I want to see the location of the tach.
I always liked what you did (a touch of hot rod) and I want to do the same.
Thanks
John

Holy Crap, that would be a wicked car. I am looking at the top secton of that motor, and it looks Massive, you sure you can find a way to snuggle that into a Fiero?

Wicked hot rod, first glance I thought it was Blair's, also does this mean you'll have to change name too?

| The LS9 is the exact engine I ultimately want to put in my car some day. Not only for it's amazing specs and performence, but for it's looks. It is an amazing-looking motor. In fact, it's one of the reasons everything I re-tone is either black, blue or chrome. Just to forewarn you though, the LS7 sells for about $10000 in Canada,so you can expect to pay upwards of $13000 (Superchargers tend to tag on about 3K). =)

well the dragon breaths again......
Today I got sick of seeing my poor car just sitting there and not running so I decided to take some time and get it running, after checking a few things I figured out that the MSD digital 6 ignition (Which is a Huge Pile OF SH*T, it is my 3rd one) could be the culprit so after reconnecting the stock ignition she fired up.
I was very surprised to hear it start as it has 3 year old gas in it and a fuel pump that seems like it is not happy.
So now I have to reset the valves and she could be roadworthy the funny thing is this all happens about a month before I could possibly install the v8 in it, no not the ls9, and ..... (what do you expect me to tell you I can't give away all my secrets)

Glad you decided off the LS9... Less displacement than the LS7, and yet one and a half times it's cost.
Besides the fact the LS7 is better anyways.

You'd decide against the LS9 because it's got less displacement?!? :P
Dude, it's got 135 MORE horsepower. STOCK. With warranty!
Although I know which GM crate engine I'd drop in my Fiero if I had the money and I was planning on keeping it long-term (I wish I still was)... The LSX376 with the biggest turbo I can find. It's built for boost, and the stock block will hold over a thousand horsies. LSX376 with a big turbo could easily put out as much power as the LSX454 NA. There IS one replacement for displacement. BOOST. :)
(Of course you all know who to call if you're looking to buy a GM crate motor, right?) :) Just check out my ads in the Performance Plus magazine. I made them myself.
Cheers,
Kris

Hey man, Chevy still runs the 2200HP 454LSX after a few years, and all off the stock block and the original internals they put in it.
And yes, I consider the LS7 superior to the LS9, not just for displacement, but because of weight, heads, deck height, oiling system and pistons (Hypereutectic versus Forged. I know forged is stronger, but Hypereutectics are lighter).
