Do you by chance have the part number for the motor.  I know a few people with slow motors in the club that would be interested.  I am also interested in seeing how the swap is done.  I have spare motors sitting on my shelf where they have been for about 5 years now.  I am too chicken to try and replace them.

Can you provide details on the install?...I do have to replace my drivers side and apparently it can be tricky, and nice to know where to pick one up for a good price.  I see them on ebay all the time for $16US, then $55-60 to ship!...lol

Hi Nigel,

Unfortunatly I am still looking at mid April before I can spend any time to work on my car...the Canucks might take us to the Playoffs...my summer has been reduced:)...lol.

I am working on my full suspension rebuild, working on my budget sheet tonight:).

Good luck and keep me updated please.

I'm looking into a full suspension rebuild too.  Let me know a ballpark of what your budget turns out to be.

Its not an easy job, no matter how you look at it.  I have done more engine swaps and work than I think I would care to admit, however the window motor seems like it is going to be more than pulling a trans out of a car.  It is webbed behind the impact beams on one side and trapped behind the door frame on the other.

You will have to carefully drill out the rivets and replace them with small nuts and bolts when you are done, or if you own a rivet gun, re-rivet the motor in place.  When you guys do eventually do this job, I hope to be able to see how you do it, as I have been putting it off on my 85GT for 3 and a half years now.

power window motors are not all that bad to do, just takes a little patience and a little know how, should only take about a hour or so, and be careful there is a spring in there that gave me one hell of a headache after it flung the motor into my head when tring to put it back together,  was on a 4th gen camaro but is basically the same on most cars

Well it sounds like lots of people are interested in this, I wonder if someone wants to make it a tech day?

If you do...hold off until April 6th weekend...I'll actually be off from the regular season:)...then playoff's.  If not, then take pictures please.

My drivers door needs the upper door pin done which I have, door handle replacement which I have to buy, then the window motor...might as well consider all at once.
