I wanted to share the positive input I am getting from the other racers with a Fiero there this Sunday:

"wooo, sounds like a fun car (power and light). I call shotgun! "

"3.2L? did you stroke the cast iron 2.8L with camero V6 pistons and crank? Fiero's can be a lot of fun.. little tail happy in the rain with all the weight in the rear..interested in a co-driver?"

Does anyone have a helmet they could loan or suggest where I could invest in one?

I'll try and make it there as well, given the weather. My Fiero is currently off the road, all I have is my bike and I don't particularly like riding in the rain.

I've never been to one of these, would they be fun to watch? Does all this happen on a track that I can see all at once? Would it be more of a drag race observing (constant action) or a indy car observing (action once in a while)?

Also bike shops are good for helmets. If you want to come to Abbotsford I have one you can use. Otherwise check the bike shops and ask if anything is clearance aka last years stock. They'll be nothing wrong with them, just last seasons graphics. I've also seen a couple new ones on CL.

If for whatever reason I don't get there, or don't meet up with you, have a good race

All I can say is WOW:)...learnt so much about my car yesterday and realize I need tires...car has enough bottom end but not holding to the road as others...know how to control my car is a 4 wheel drift though...lol.

Today is the race day as yesterday was test & tune, got in almost 20 runs.  All the group is so nice, have allot of information on driving courses for our club, etc...all I can say is many in our club should partake and learn about our cars other than how to drive like an idiot on the main roads, take it to the track.

I am sure Nigel mentioned the times I got based on my stock setup...I was pleasantly suprised in the afternoon I closed off with a 30.27 and the best time was 27.8 with a LOTUS...I was beating many of the Miatas, BMW's, etc...and many very impresssed with the Fiero...was nice hearing the announcements over the PA "Red Fiero with a clean run...".  Out of all the runs also (very proud here)....hit ONE cone...lol

Gotta run to the races, I hope to have some video today, trying to rig up my camera mount (velcro strips...lol)

2008 NCT 3 Results and Feedback

Fast on posting today's results...all I can say is that I beat the MR2...lol

Hi Guys, Been up since 5am and just got home now. What a day!

Congratulations to all who came out to race today, especially Saturday's Test and Tuners. 2 days of intense driving takes some serious focus! We had a large turn out, and still managed 7 runs.

Tons of volunteers worked very very long hours to make an event like this happen. Special thanks goes to Bryan Hoffman as the event Chair, I think he did a fantastic job as a first timer. Mitch for the fun fast course. Carol for her record speed - with registration, Henry running timing and making things go smoothly throughout the day. And, of course many of you who helped with setup and clean up at the event! I want to thank you all for making this event possible.

Unofficial results are ready (Clearly I have no life):
