Ok Tristan aka Romeo will have the wrap up soon, however here are the pics from tonight.  I am sure Tristan is not going to be be forgetting tonight for a while as he got to take Car2Lo's chop top 3800SC Fiero for a solo cruise around Port Kells.  There is a good shot in here that I am sure he is going to use as a computer background for a while.

Well here are the pics.

P.S. Sorry to hear about Damian's uhm, overhang situation, and Colby's Dad's Porsche lost a fuel pump on the way to meeting so they did not arrive until after 9pm.

O MAI GAWD, IZ MIDNIGHT. Still, best night I can recall in a long time...

I write this post for any of our members who may or may not have been stuck awaiting spouses over a ditch.

So, although attendance was scarce for the first part (Our new member Kevin beat me there, and it remained us two for a rather long time) eventually David, Lisa, Tim et al meandered into the parking lot. Kevin astounded David by showing off his incredible gold paintjob which was done for the paltry sum of $390. Not soon after - to this one's sheer elation - JOHNNY BOY SHOWED UP! And as if that wasn't amazing enough on it's own, he committed an act that still has me grinnin' like an idiot - he let me drive his artwork on wheels. Let me tell you, until you've heard the sound of a supercharger ramming it's air down an engine's throat no more than a foot from your head, you are missing out on one of life's miracles. I can safely attest that was one of the top ten experiences of my life - and that is no hyperbole.

Johnny Boy's happiness (Beyond that of seeing his car return unscathed) was also in full effect as Clynt showed up in a choptop of his own, making his "Choptop Fiero Parking Only - Bubbletops Will Be Towed" not only stylish, but functional. Patrick arrived looking a little husky for some reason (Can't put my finger on it though...), Brian brought his red-racecar GT, Glen in his very chic maroon GT and new member Jeff (Geoff? Aw hell, MxRacer) showed up in a rather Gretchin-like black GT. Last-but-most-certainly-not-least, Danny showed up "for a couple minutes" to deliver my sooper-sekrett brake item.

As we made our way inside, it became abundantly clear that Patrick's excessive attempts at trying to land himself a waitress have scared them off, as virtually ALL the waitresses were new, and the one who was a veteran sounded extremely nervous to be there. Despite this, we were still served good food to enjoy while we all chatted (See: Argued) amongst ourselves. Once the official meeting commenced, discussions moved to the upcoming Whistler run, including how to guilt-trip Patrick and Brian into coming despite a schedule conflict. Following that was a detailed account of how members can get involved in legal racing, courtesy of Brian, such as autocross or track-racing, as well as the associations and atmosphere of all options. The last official topic (The meeting was somewhat short) was my shameless self-promotion of my now not-so-secret Corvette brake conversion.

As usual, discussions continued on outside, pertaining to literally EVERY possible subject. We covered so much discussions, in fact, David had to abandon them at 10:30. I don't know how long Patrick, Danny and I must've stayed, but I'd peg it around 11:30 or so. It was awesome. Members who may have expressed concern over my tendancy to just edge my way over the limit will be happy to hear I stayed with Patrick (Who did not speed) the whole way home, even when I knew where I was going and didn't need to tail him any more.

There's your write up, this one is off to bed now.

Gawd damn it Tristan, my girlfriend who's in Edmonton at the moment (which is why I'm dog-sitting her hound) will really be thrilled when she reads this. Not.

If you missed the PS above, me and my dad had some of the worst luck today. We decided to take both cars, my Fiero and his Porsche 914. Since we knew there'd be a bunch of traffic from the airshow we left around 4:50. We didn't get to the meeting until after 9.

The first issue was the very heavy traffic caused by a brush fire that shut down the highway between 264th and 232nd. Neither of our cars liked crawling along like that and both started to heat up, though the real problem was when the fuel pump on my dad's car decided to give up. Eventually we decided to use my car to push his down the shoulder. This got us to a gas station off of 264th. There we spent a couple hours trying to get his car running again, eventually we gave up and drove to Langley to buy a rope so we could use my car to tow his. Since it was nearby, we stopped by to see if any Fieros were still around, so we didn't completely miss the meeting. We made our way back to his car, ate dinner finally, and secured the rope. My car pulled his back to Abbotsford without any major issues.

Aw don't worry, we all know you don't stand a chance with all those honeys eying this adorable boy up anyways. "Have a good night Tristan..." I hear often. "Have a good night Patrick..." I haven't.

...I was supposed to have my pants on?

And that is wretched luck Colby... A few of us did see your familiar notchback at the end there, hopefully both your cars will be in good health soon! =)

I'm happy with Anne and not looking to complicate my life. I just kid around with the waitresses so as to relax them after their stressful encounters with you.

I cropped one of Dave's pictures and ended up with a very surrealistic image of Frankie looking up through the driver's side of the windshield.

(Dave, could you please email me the uncompressed full size image of this shot? Or is it on the club's server? Thanks.)

Me? Stressful? When my car isn't spinning, I don't think I ever cause anyone stress. Especially our lovely little waitresses.

As I said in the video: Debatable.

She has a different source of stress, not this one's fault.

The only people I seem to stress are old men who abuse the $20's of others. LOL

Great Bunch of pics.  Hopefully I pay attention to the forum more often and get out to see all those awesome cars again.

Thanks for all the photo exposure.  Gives me a nice little sense of pride.  Thanks to Jim for the wicked gold emblem.  Have to get the drawing done up for the v6 idler I built - who knows maybe even make another sometime...
