I don't believe fencerenu is a "troll" in the classic sense of the term, nor do I think he purposely came here to mess up our forum, but having said that he does appear to have some issues.

I say give him a second chance. If he behaves himself, fine. If not... get him outta here.

We're a small town here, unlike the sprawling metropolis over at Pennocks.

As such, we pretty much all know each other in person.  For the first time in our village, we're up against a new thing.  An accusation several times of a user.

As an admin/town sheriff here, I can just 'flick the switch' at will and make a user go -poof- never to be seen again.
But as a village, the other town folk should have a right to speak up - in this case, by a vote.

User: You have been accused of trolling, in-appropriate posting, annoying others, and other stuff.  Yeah...  stuff....

How do you plead?

By way of pseudo raising your hands, how does everyone want to deal with this?  Click above.  Keep posts civil, lest ye be guilty yourself.

'ignore' but then i read some the comments made on other
forums and now I am not so sure.

good luck with your decision.

I think he has had many "chances" on Pennocks.  The history of abuse is clear.

I don't think this should be a "secret" ballot.

People who vote on whether or not to turf someone from our forum should also have the balls to explain their position.

But that's just my opinion.

Hard to make a decision without all relevent data. Safest option would be to take no action for now, observe and if anything goes wrong, end him without remorse. Just this one's opinion, mind you.
Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

In review of his actions (two posts created and deleted), I say no...and if one has many issues and warnings in other forums, why allow the opportunity to mess ours up?.

I am an admin with other forums and managing peeps like this takes time and energy.

It's been over 24hrs now - the defendant has yet to step forward.  No warrant will be issued (since that sh*t just doesn't work in our cyber town!).

Anyhow - for the moment, it looks like a little (more) clean up work will need to be done, and a 2nd chance pardon will be granted.  No 3rd chance pardons to be made.

The accused is released back into the wild.

So say we all?

When you've only got one boat, any and all boat-rockers should be turfed.

Unless everyone is ready to get wet once in a while.
I wanna go fast.

I've received a PM from Fencerenu (I wish he had a real name!) at Pennock's, and he's given me permission to post it here in our forum. So here it is...

Originally posted by Fencerenu Fencerenu wrote:

Hey Patrick, I hope you have a nice weekend. I DID get bullied out of Pennock's, but I suspect I was being a baby... and then I was on your site and it was all good... and I was excited about Clynt's car at first and then the photoshop of Johnny's... man they were awesome... and then I started thinking that I was going to look like a copier rather than an innovator and (for good or bad) I decided that I wanted my build thread deleted and would post it all at once after I was finished... So I made the mess. Sorry about that.

When I read that it was all staged, I literally LOLd. That was a good one. :-) I hope you guys understand that I meant no disrespect in your forum, I did not call names, I didn't use foul language, I didn't threaten anybody... I just turned some messages to rubbish so that I could be the first one to implement my ideas in one unique awesome Fiero.

Feel free to publish this PM on your site, as I was banned yesterday from even logging in. My email address is fencerenu@gmail.com in case you want to email me or in case anybody else does. Or anybody can PM me here on Pennock's, too.

I know that I have posted with zeal, but I just can't help the enthusiasm I have for this project. I'm on these forums looking at pictures seriously like 20 times a day. I hope it dies down to a moderate level, but it's just so much fun for me right now to have this blank slate on which I can implement so many changes in order to make it my "own" design... something unique. A head turner like Johnny's or Clynt's.

As for an update. My top is chopped 3 inches and welded back together. The sails are GONE (for good) and that area is covered by metal mesh covered by fiberglass. The door window area top and bottom angled that you saw on the mockup I made of Clynt's car are implemented and now I have to finish those areas nicely and then I can work on the vents (not big, huge, awkward scoops) to direct area behind each sail area into the engine for cooling purposes. Those vents will angle toward the center of the back of the car like on the Lotus Turbo Esprit.

I have to go this morning to buy a new bumper and nose that I am getting from craigslist, so I can modify them to my liking and then change them out on this car.

I'm very meek and shy away from arguments and am an easy target for bullies because I'm so nice and refuse to curse and shout and pretend to be a tough guy. I'm just nice.

Anyway sorry for rambling. I hope you have a great weekend.

For anyone who hasn't seen the thread at Pennock's where the "staged" event was discussed, perhaps have a look at it Here. It'll be educational for Tristan to read it as well.

Odd - says he was banned here.  Just looked at his profile, and it's still marked 'active'.
(don't think I banned his IP either, unless someone else did)

Hi all...  Maybe I wasn't banned, but I couldn't login for some reason.  I'm sorry for my conduct.  I'll try to have thicker skin and would like to have an ongoing build thread here.  IMHO, this is the forum on which I'd like to have a home.  Even though it has less traffic, it has Johnny and Clynt's cars and they are the coolest cars I have seen.  I can only hope to be able to build something that is similarly cool.

And thanks for the kind words and for not jumping the gun.  I really never intended to create a big mess.  When I saw Clynt's car, I thought it was awesome, but then sometime after that, something clicked and I thought "oh no - I'm gonna look like I copied his ideas rather than creating my own" or something like that.  So that's why I deleted the comments in that post and the comments in part of another post.  I left in tact my 3dCAD post and some other things.

I just didn't want to be seen as a copycat.  Unfortunately, my actions caused me to be seen as a crybaby and a troublemaker.  I can't imagine how that would happen again.

Hopefully you will give me another shot at being a family member here.  I like this place.

I'll welcome you back under one condition... State your real (first) name at the bottom of your posts!

I'm tired of referring to you as Fencerenu.

I have never been much for crowds and clubs in my past but I can say this is a great bunch of guys - all willing to lend a hand or provide helpful feedback/info.    Just need to weed through all the steer manure (nicer words and no names.)    All joking aside, even being a new member I can say I am proud to be a part (what little it is at this point) of it all.
