Hot off the PCA site...July 31st I came in 12th out of 62 drivers, and 18th on August 1st with I think 50+ drivers...Not bad for a Fiero, I am very happy with the results...I know there is more that David & John would like to do which we will in time, I want my V710 slicks back, I can shave so much time off with that tread...thanks David & John for getting the car on the road, David busted his ass on this car...Cheers buddy

July 31st results - sorted by best raw time.

August 1st results - sorted by best raw time.

Heh, my car's lack of power really shows on Sunday's results, but I was just 2.111 seconds away from my uncle driving my car. I'm pretty happy with that, considering how much more experienced he is, and if I hadn't messed up my last run I would have been even closer.

I'm looking forward to next weekend, I may co-drive the 914-6. I haven't decided for sure yet though.

This was posted just an hour ago on their forum:

Quote Just in case you missed it, we are having ANOTHER autocross this Sunday, August 8th.

Since last Sunday's course was so popular, I'm going to try to make another one similar to it, but since my lovely assistant is doing her first autocross this Sunday, it'll be a bit more novice friendly. Come one, come all!

Rich

same procedure as always:

Pitt Meadows, BC Driving Centre (Ford & McTavish)

- No pre-registration required - But on-site registration closes at 9am sharp.

- Arrival 7:45-8:00am
- Tech Inspection 8:00am-9:00am
- Mandatory Driver's Meeting at 9:30am
- Wrap up by 4:30pm

- Please bring $40 cash per driver. (no cheques or plastic)
- Novices: Loaner helmets and instruction are available at no charge
- (If you have your own helmet, it must be Snell M2000 or SA2000 or newer.)

- We run regardless of rain or shine!
- Please check the weather before leaving, and come prepared!

- Make sure your car is free of any loose items within.
- Batteries must be BOLTED down securely.

Cheers,
Rich Sandor

Colby, meet at Mac D's at 7:30am?...here is my cell: 778-836-4806, don't think Allan is going right...I'll chat with him tonight.

I will go, and Tristan, if you are interested you should come and meet us at 7:30am, and see every step of a autox day, from registration to walking the course, etc...so please confirm that you will be coming to attend and be a passenger in my car, park yours:)...or if you will just show up later in the day to visit, or that you won't be showing at all...lol

Patrick, bring that beautiful Husky and visit for as long as you want...most visitors stay for a few hours unless your the other half...lol

Parking onsite, when are driving on Ford Road...YOU MUST DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT OF 50KM!!!!, the main entrance of the driving center is 20kM...please guys as all clubs and the site owner are working with the neighbours, airport authority and RCMP to maintain sound and speed so this location can remain for us!:)...enough on that point:).

Parking, you pull in, to your left is usually a few spots by the potrta washrooms, just make sure you don't park inline by the stop box...you never know, don't want a car injured:).

Here is a link to location and autox details:  http://www.ubcscc.com/autoxfaq.shtml#bcdc

Ah, I thought it was $40 per car.

Brian, my offer still stands if Tristan is co-driving your car then.

I wanna come watch though.

Patrick...I gave up on him driving, too many excuses, but I need confirmation so we can register him properly, etc...I think having him make it out will be good, his comfort level seems to be a passenger this time out...Tristan, where are you at on all this:)

Brian, what's involved in being registered as a passenger? I'd love to be a passenger in someone's car for a run. (I'd rather be driving of course, but I'll wait until I can attend an event without my canine sidekick before I get behind the wheel.)

Nothing, if you are a novice you cannot have a pasenger unless they are instructing you like I could as a senior driver.  There are loaner helmets or bring one if you have it, has to be  SA2000 (Snell)...that's it.

For most events there are 3 run groups and those would consist of 3 runs, then the afternoon = 6 runs.  Now no driving if you don't work the course is a rule, hate thos lazy asses!, Group A is on track, B working, C break...then rotates, etc..

PCA we had only 2 groups which was too much, as a worker we were out for almost 1.5 hours standing and running down cones, etc...lol...hope Sunday is better.

Sure, we'll try it again, hopefully we can both get there in time this time. Depending on how the weather is, my dad and brother will be going again, and I'm pretty sure my uncle is going too.

On the passengers... I don't think they enforce that rule, this is actually the first I've heard of it. Me and my dad rode with each other as novices.

I just worked out that I got 22MPG for last weekend's driving, my dad did 10MPG in his car. One upside to driving a slow car I guess, and I probably would have gotten closer to 25 if it weren't for all the idling.

See you on Sunday!
